This is my story.

Ivana, Croatian language teacher

After graduating from the University in Rijeka (where I still live) and starting a business for teaching Croatian for foreigners, and now, after 1000+ hours of coaching students 1-on-1, I noticed a frustrating pattern. Brilliant people, entrepreneurs, expats, partners of Croatians, coming to me after years of traditional studying, completely frozen. They all said the same thing: "I'm just not talented." It wasn't true. They were just trapped in a status quo.

My job on the first 1-on-1 lesson was always the same: to break that psychological wall. I didn't hand them vocabulary lists. I changed my tone, modulated my voice, and subtly guided them through the anxiety until they built their very first, natural sentence. I watched people like Kristina, who was discouraged by previous teachers, transform from apologizing for her mistakes to confidently chatting with me for an hour like we were having coffee in Split.

With creating the Ivana Method I did something new.
